In 1998, at the young age of 18, Corne began his Architectural career path by participating independently in architectural design and construction for Clients. During this same year, Corne became the proud owner of two companies namely; Corne Design Architecture and Corne Crause Construction (Pty) Ltd.
Following the establishment of Corne’s two companies, he became involved with a series of successful projects. A notable project to mention is The Fingle, a floating hotel and restaurant, located in the United Kingdom, which was completed and opened to the public in 2018. During the year of 2014, Corne relocated to Potchefstroom and became involved in projects in–and–around Potchefstroom and Klerksdorp. In 2017, the career paths of Corne Crause and Nardus van Zyl crossed during a construction project in a well–known estate situated in Potchefstroom. At the time, Nardus van Zyl, was sub–contracting for Corne by providing Aluminium Window installations on Corne’s projects. Nardus has made his mark in the Aluminium Industry with more than 14 year’s experience in Aluminium Installations well as Project Management. Since their first meeting, a strong bond was established between Corne Crause and Nardus van Zyl, which led to the establishment of GroupX, which is now the Umbrella company for Corne Design Architecture, Corne Crause Construction (Pty) Ltd. and Liv Real Estate (Pty) Ltd.
